What does it involve?
Before we start any work, we offer you a free no obligation quote and expert advice. We will discuss all available options with that to meet your needs and to suit your budget. No job is too big or too small.

How does it work?
Preparing the Patio Base - Its all in the Prep!!
As with all groundworks, the preparation is vital to ensure the paving does not sink, become unstable, or have crumbling pointing.
We first dig out the base to the required depth, this will allow a sub base of MOT stone to be compacted beneath the patio to ensure stability.
Laying the slabs
We lay slabs on a full bed of wet mixed sand and cement (a 5 to 1 ratio) to give the best possible job, and all pointing is done the traditional way by hand, and again this gives the best, most long lasting results possible.
The back of each slab need to be painted with a PVA glue bound. this ensures the slab will fully bind to the mix as its a sandstone product.
Pointing the patio.
Repointing is done the old fashioned way with a strong mix of 2 building sand, 1 sharp sand and 1 cement. This is compacted rather than just brushed in and then finished off with a piece of hose for a nice smooth finish.
The Finished Patio
Indian Stone is hardwearing and practical for any path or patio area, but we do also lay any other type of paving that we do including porcelain, York stone and variable concrete pattern slabs. Please see below for more information on these options or give Steve a call to discuss your requirements.
